Our After School program offers environment and resources that provide opportunities to build on the lessons students learn during the school day and enhance them with fun and practical hands on learning experience. Our aim is to enhance core skills in creative thinking, communication and financial discipline to help raise students’ ability to compete on a global stage.

STEM

 

We offer a suite of STEM activities for children that promote excitement for science, technology, engineering and math. Our eclectic classes feature hands-on projects from various streams of engineering, robust Game Design, challenging Robotics and Minecraft, among others. The classes are designed to inspire children to build on their natural curiosity, help them to build problem solving skills, encourage them to discover how things work and motivate them to learn math and science concepts by engaging them in real-world engineering problems.

Through our STEM curriculum we offer programs such as:

  • Game Design
  • Engineering Programs (Such as Electrical, Mechanical, Marine among others.)

 

Public Speaking

Our public speaking program is designed to develop speaking, leadership and oratory skills. Parents have seen remarkable difference in their kids’ confidence and participation levels. Kids participate in researching the topics of speech, organizing their material, spontaneous discussions and they learn the important soft skills like creativity, persuasiveness and organization. The students learn by

Finance Education For Kids

Money is not the goal in itself but a mean to achieve one’s dreams and goals. Our finance program is aimed at creating this mindset in kids. Kids discuss the values of families and neighborhoods, needs and wants, dreams and goals and various trade-offs and plans to achieve those goals.

Our finance education program aims to teach kids the concept of money and the relationship between earning, spending and saving. Through age appropriate fun activities, kids understand the value of money and  other key concepts towards a more effective and informed money-management decision. Built on “The Secret Millionaires Club”, an animated series that features Warren Buffett as a mentor to lead them to encounter financial and business problems to solve, our key curriculum is aimed at

  • Building financial mindset
  • Understanding the relationship between savings. debts & investments
  • Learning important lessons in developing career, jobs and entrepreneurship

 

Homework Help

Our trained teachers provide homework help to the kids everyday, so you don’t have to worry about it and can enjoy your time with your kids at the end of your tiring day. Along with the homework, we will engage the kids in reading, math practice and other skills that they are learning at school.

Program Cost and other details

 

  • One time registration fee of $50 per child or $75 per family
  • Monthly fees of $550  for the school year for a 5 day program.
  • Partial week programs available. Pick your own days – 4 day program for $500, 3 day program for $450 per month and 2 day program for $375 per month.
  • Optional activities can be purchased at an additional cost.
  • Payments are due by 1st of each month for that month
  • One full calendar month notice required for opting out of the program
  • Payments can be made by check or signing up for a recurring credit card payments.

Kids Quest Club, Ashburn - Junior LEGO Robotics (Ages 5 - 7) - Winter Session ONGOING

Name of Class:  Junior LEGO Robotics Program (Ages 5 – 7)

Description: This club is a perfect mixture of fun and learning. The goal of this club is to introduce the students to the concept of what robotics is as well as give the students a chance to build and program their first robot. Using LEGO® bricks, students build an airplane rescue, a giant escape, and a sailboat storm. Through various themes such as Wild Animals, Amazing Mechanisms, Soccer, the students learn how to program and operate their creations using a laptop computer.

August 15-19 Entrepreneurship Summer Camp (Ages 8-12 years)

Entrepreneurship – Kids Shark Tank

 

DESCRIPTION:

Entrepreneurship- KIDS SHARK TANK:  An entrepreneur is someone who looks at things differently – challenges the status quo, knows he or she can do it better or differently. Entrepreneurship Summer Camp by Kids Quest Club has been developed to help kids realize their potential  and to inspire entrepreneurship in them at an early age. Entrepreneurship is not about just owning your own business, but it is about perceiving the opportunity, having a dream, creating a vision and being a leader to turn the vision to reality.

In this program, the kids will learn about what an entrepreneur is and what it takes to be one. They will learn the values of risk taking, learning from failures, owning their development and be passionate about their ideas. The program will help kids develop entrepreneurial ideas and provide steps to take in the entrepreneurial journey. Through various case studies, kids will participate in an entrepreneurial experience. By the end of the program, like in the “Shark Tank”, kids will create their business plan and present their ideas to the real entrepreneurs who will provide their insight and feedback.

Camp Fees: $350

Main Camp Activity Time: 9 am – 4 pm

Parents may drop off  their children as early as 8:30 am and pick them up by 5 pm at no additional cost.

Additional after care may be purchased for 5-6 pm at $10 per day!

Electronic Game Design - Platform Games

Day: Thursdays

During our Electronic Game Design : Platform class, students will use Clickteam Fusion 2.5® to create their own video game. A platform game is a side-scrolling, Mario-type game where students program characters and a two-dimensional obstacle course. They attempt to avoid or overcome enemies and reach an end goal on multiple levels. At the end of the program, everyone takes home a working Windows-compatible game (Clickteam Fusion 2.5® does not support Mac or Android operating systems).

Description:

Chemical Engineering program is designed to introduce students to the concepts of molecular composition, mixtures, compounds, and fluids. The Engineering Design Process will be utilized and modified as students synthesize their own substances and explore the chemical properties of materials.

Description:

Through experiential learning, kids will learn how our jobs and careers help the development of the communities. Students will learn about the different careers and how to get ready for what they want to become in life.  They will also learn the important attributes of an entrepreneur and learn about the skills to be one. Students will explore different businesses they can start to help the communities and prepare the business plans. They will present the business plans to “Sharks” and request for funding their businesses.

Do you want your child to become a confident speaker? If so, our “Public Speaking Club” is the place for you. During the Apprentice LEGO Robotics program, students will learn the basics of designing, programming, and controlling a fully functional robot. Using LEGO® MINDSTORMS®, mathematical concepts, and engineering principles students will brainstorm, plan, test, and modify sequences of instructions to accomplish a given task. Students will also learn the sequence of communication between the robot, and the programmer by collecting and analyzing data using the robot’s sensors.
